Active play reduces the profit per order but gives you more orders overall, which balances things out. As your menu expands with new ingredients, the complexity of orders increases in turn.
The real magic, though, lies in the game’s four distinct gameplay modes:
Frantic Mode: High volume, fast-paced, and a true test of multitasking. Delivery time affects your review rating.
Relax Mode: Customers show up every 1 to 15 minutes. Great for tabbing in and out, and delivery time won’t hurt your score.
Pomodoro Mode: Set timers for when customers arrive, syncing perfectly with productivity sprints and breaks. Timers can be set for anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours to allow flexibility in your productivity.
Live Stream Mode: Integrate with Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or TikTok and have your viewers place orders and appear as customers. Yes, really.
Achievements come naturally as you play. Serving different customer types, trying various modes, and simply sticking with it will eventually earn you all 19 of them. Burgie’s runs like a dream across the board, even when switching between modes or bouncing in and out of desktop idle play. Additionally, I ran this on my desktop with about a million other things running (animated wallpaper, Discord, Slack, Outlook, OneNote, and countless Chrome tabs all open at once), and I never had a single stutter switching between desktop and fullscreen mode. Whenever I test games, especially unconventional ones, I really try to push them to the limit in hopes of finding even a minor annoyance that someone else might encounter; none could be found here.
